Yes, which is why I didn’t make that claim. I said ADHD is not reversible, as Dr. Maté had claimed. Treatable and reversible are two different things.

I refuted Dr. Maté’s claims that ADHD is *caused by* trauma. Nowhere have I ever said that trauma doesn’t have an impact, or that there aren’t helpful treatments for ADHD.

My son and I both take medication for ADHD that has greatly improved the quality of our lives.

The environment impacts how genes are expressed, yes, but the genetic markers have to be there in the first place. ADHD is genetic.
