Yes, thank you!! Being gifted usually includes over-excitabilities, which are also considered heightened sensitivities (Dabrowski's Overexcitabilities in Gifted Children) - however, one does not need to be gifted to be HSP, nor HSP to be gifted. And being sensitive has both pros and cons, just like anything else.

I agree, that particular article painted it as though it were some magical power one possesses, rather than a difference of one's nervous system, which has both good and bad aspects.
