IMO, it's a garbage diagnosis for lazy clinicians. I've watched this kid for 16 years. Refusing to go to school after YEARS of feeling stupid and struggling and being known as the weird and impulsive kid takes it's toll. But somehow, the rational assessment that school isn't for him and his long-term experience are now about some random bs disorder as opposed to acknowledging how poorly we support kids in general.
