Trans women are women. They're not men pronouncing themselves to be women. And the perpetrators of abuse are CIS men, men who have been socialized to believe they have a right to women's bodies, who believe they are superior to women, who need to... As I said, I'm a survivor of C.S.A. and S.A. myself, so I get where the fear comes from... but fear of trans people comes from ignorance, not actual threat or risk.
