…told that I tested as gifted and talented and was going to be put into a program for “ gifted” kids. I didn’t understand why I was being singled out. It didn’t feel good.

This was my son's experience. He didn't receive it as "good" news, he didn't want to be singled out any more than he already was, being ND & different from most of his peers.
