This!! I own my company and hire my part-time staff as proper employees. A great many in the same industry only offer self-employed contracting. Meaning their actual employee is responsible for their own expenses, their own tax dedications and payments, and no vacation pay or other benefits. It is perfectly legal here to do so, however it feels very unethical when you have someone work for you and earn money for your company, while refusing to pay them fairly.
