The thing is, though, that children's sexuality doesn't begin at age 18. I don't mean in terms of actual sex acts, I mean in terms of gender identity, sexual orientation, and discovering who they are. At 8 years old, a child *does* know their own preferences. There is good evidence that children's sexual orientation begins developing as young as 3 years old, and really we're *born* gay, straight, trans, etc. so we can't "confuse" children into thinking they're LGBTQIA+ when they're not.
