I am in Canada, not the U.S. Although there is transphobia and oppression in all cultures and walks of life, the most brazenly hateful words and actions come from the most privileged faction. In Canada (and the U.S.), that is indeed white folks — nowhere did I say it was confined only to white folks, I said usually, which is true. It’s “safer” and easier for us to be bigoted.
