Oh this whole story spoke to me so much. I was absolutely bullied by my mother (and as a child at school) and developed “defiant” behaviours in self-defends. My heart broke reading about how your poor nieces are treated and I am so glad they’re doing well now, despite the verbal & psychological abuse they endured. Thank you for sharing.
