I relate to this a lot! I don't have OCD, but I do have ADHD and anxiety. I suspect I'm also Autistic. My ADHD & anxiety are formally diagnosed, but autism is not. I feel like it helps explain a lot about me, but there are so many overlapping symptoms with ADHD & autism that I'm not sure...

My son was diagnosed with ADHD 7 months before I was. I have two psych-related degrees and spent those 7 months hyperfocusing on ADHD, reading *everything*. So when the psychiatrist officially diagnosed me, I had those same imposter-syndrome thoughts. Was I just too knowledgable on the subject? Did I somehow "trick" the psychiatrist--one who has decades of education and experience, and specializes in Adult ADHD?

I relate to a lot of what you wrote, thank you for sharing.
