I am, yes, and thank you for checking. I fully acknowledge the potential weaknesses in RPM and FC, and I, too, struggle with that particular aspect. I am not concerned about people seeing both sides of the argument, as that’s part of the process.
Despite drawbacks to some facilitated communication methods, I’d still much prefer to support avenues which improve autonomy and increase options for effective communication.
Acknowledging the weaknesses of some methods will hopefully lead to improvements and thus, even better options coming about in the future.
I do hope, however, that anyone reading the subreddit also does so with a grain of salt. They misrepresent the “training” process for RPM, among other things. So while there are some valid concerns, many of their arguments are out of line.
