Absolutely, but even then, respect is subjective. Often children even asking the question is perceived as "disrespectful" because it's questioning a presumed authority figure.

Or if children are too "bold" or confident in their question, or are calling out an adult's mistake, they're perceived as intentionally being disrespectful when they may genuinely wonder why/how/what?
